ASMI welcomes new Federal Health Minister

22 December 2014 - The Australian Self Medication Industry (ASMI) today welcomed the Hon Sussan Ley as the new Federal Minister for Health and Sport.
Dr Deon Schoombie, ASMI Executive Director, said: "ASMI congratulates Minister Ley on her promotion to Cabinet and to the role of Minister for Health and Sport.
"ASMI looks forward to working closely with the Minister and her office to ensure self care takes a more prominent role in health policy.

"ASMI will seek an early meeting with Minister Ley to discuss key issues such as switch, S3 advertising and de-regulation," he added.

Dr Schoombie congratulated the Hon Peter Dutton on his appointment as Minister for Immigration and thanked him and his staff for the constructive working relationship they developed with ASMI over the last year.
