ASMI Diamond Awards celebrate excellence in non-prescription medicines industry
17 July 2014 - Entries are now open for the
2014 ASMI Diamond Awards for marketing and sales excellence - the
premier awards of the non-prescription medicines industry.
Australian Self Medication Industry (ASMI) Executive Director Deon
Schoombie said the Awards, which are open to all ASMI members,
honour manufacturers and suppliers who excel in product marketing
and sales.
"The Marketing Awards recognise Quality Use of Medicines (QUM), innovation and marketing best practice. They recognise and reward companies for innovative and leading-edge creative work.
"Advertising and marketing are about creatively and effectively
executing your objectives to answer critical brand challenges. The
ASMI Diamond Award for marketing excellence offers entrants the
opportunity to highlight their creativity and effectiveness by
showcasing aspects of their brand campaigns such as the campaign
challenge, strategy, execution, health literacy focus and
outcomes," said Schoombie.
Categories for Marketing Awards are:
- Best Launch of a Consumer Healthcare Product
- Best Marketing Campaign of a Consumer+ Healthcare Product Large Budget
- (>$1 million)
- Best Marketing Campaign of a Consumer+ Healthcare Product Small Budget (<$1million)
- Best Professional Marketing Campaign.
This year ASMI is reintroducing Sales Awards at the Diamond
Awards Dinner. The Sales Awards will recognise ASMI member sales
personnel for excellence in service and sales initiatives and are
judged on the collective feedback provided by Australian
pharmacies, indicating that these suppliers understand and service
their businesses with excellence.
The categories for Sales Awards are:
- >$100 million sales turnover - overall winner
- >$100 million sales turnover - Quality Use of Medicines winner
- <$100 million sales turnover - overall winner
- <$100 million sales turnover - Quality Use of Medicines winner
The 2014 ASMI Diamond Marketing Awards will be judged by a panel of independent experts. All entries must be received by close of business (5pm) Friday 12 September 2014.
Award recipients will be announced at the ASMI 2014 Diamond Awards
Dinner
on Tuesday 18 November 2014 at the Waterview Convention Centre,
Bicentennial Park,
Homebush, Sydney.
